Patchouli in perfumery
Patchouli is a dried leaf that smells of damp earth, forest floor, cocoa and camphor, and it lasts exceptionally well. In niche perfumery it is worn on its own, raw and dark, or softened with vanilla, rose, caramel or red berries. It is the base of the great chypres and of modern orientals.
