Fazaya is a young French perfume house founded by Yanis and Faouzi, two travel and perfume enthusiasts who spent eighteen months laying the foundations of their project before launching their first creation. It was in Dubai, during repeated stays in a world where perfume is a language in itself, that they understood what they wanted to do: not to copy Oriental perfumery, but to meet it. Their first perfume, Desert Sugar, composed by perfumer Pierre-Constantin Guéros, immediately sets the direction of the house. A high-concentration composition, conceived as an elixir rather than an eau de parfum, which blends the woody and sweet warmth of the Orient with French manufacturing standards. White musk, citrus, amber, oakmoss, sandalwood: noble materials, produced and formulated in France, with protected recipes. The perfumer himself sums it up: Desert Sugar is what modern Franco-Oriental perfumery is, powerful and radiant. This dialogue between two perfumery cultures that seem to oppose everything – the opulent intensity of the Orient and the restrained precision of French perfumery – is Fazaya's raison d'être. A house that is still young, but with a very clear vision of what it wants to build.
