Mango wave

by Chris Maurice

A sweet, sunny wave that passes quickly but leaves a warm trail. Mango wave by Librery is written like a summer moment spilling over. High sun, bright light, air heavy with ripe fruit. A wave that rolls in, fresh at first, then quickly warm, almost sticky, like skin sweetened by the sun.

The fragrance

Mango wave is written like a movement. A wave that arrives without warning, heavy with sunshine and ripe fruit. The light is bright, almost overwhelming, and everything spills over. Then, without a break, everything slows down. The wave pulls back and leaves only warmth on the skin.

From the opening, mango comes straight through, juicy, radiant, almost overripe. A bright fruity sweetness that catches you at once, like a first bite full of juice.

Then the fragrance warms up. The freshness fades gently to make way for something denser and rounder, with an almost pulpy, slightly creamy texture. The feel becomes cosier, sunnier.

As the hours pass, Mango wave stays on the skin as a sweet, soft, lingering warmth. A simple, lively, almost addictive trail, like a memory of summer.

The brand

Librery is an independent French perfume house founded in Paris, led by the same creator as Bey Parfums, Raf Bey, with the same perfumers, Chris Maurice and Nathalie Feisthauer. Its name plays on 'library' and the French 'liberté', freedom: a library as a space of freedom, of thought, of inhabited silence. The idea is precise and rare. Rather than drawing on an ingredient or a place, Librery starts from an image: a secret library where each bottle rests like a rare manuscript, ready to share its secrets. Each perfume is a chapter, with its frank opening, its heart that reveals the emotion, and its base that anchors the fragrance in memory like the last sentence of a novel you never quite close. The creations of Chris Maurice and Nathalie Feisthauer deliver on this promise with care. Mango wave starts on realistic, juicy, straightforward fruit before giving way to a jasmine of rare finesse, then to an almost neo-chypre oakmoss base. Ambert Sunset pairs ripe fruit with the warmth of amber in a golden, cocooning sillage. Palmeira plays on the roundness of plum and red berries, luminous and joyful. Fragrances you first wear for their immediacy, and rediscover the longer you wear them. A young house that already has the voice of a house that knows what it wants to say.
