The creator of Mugler’s Angel, a great Greek nose, perfumers from Givaudan: Nysos entrusts each of its creations to a renowned master perfumer. Vanille Divinity, Le Jasmin, Le Oud, Azur, Le Musc, Le Néroli and the house’s other fragrances can be tried at Sayhar, rue de Marignan in Paris 8th, or explored online.

    The house of Nysos

Nysos Parfums is a French perfume house whose name comes from Nysa, the mythical region where the young Dionysus was taken in by the nymphs before setting out to travel the world to teach mankind about the fruits of the earth and the wonders of the vine. From this joyful and fragrant procession, the house draws inspiration to bring the scents of the legendary festivals of the god of wine back to life. Its ambition is to make niche perfumery accessible to everyone. By cutting out the middlemen, Nysos offers high-quality fragrances, with concentrations between 20% and 22%, at a fairer price. The formulations are vegan, free of dyes and stabilisers, and prioritise natural ingredients sourced from responsible agriculture. To create these fragrances, the house brings together leading perfumers: Olivier Cresp, born in Grasse and creator of Mugler’s Angel; Ilias Ermenidis; Benjamin Bélizon; Alex Lee; Hamid Merati-Kashani and Alexandra Monet. The deliberately understated bottles allow the fragrance to take centre stage.

    Nysos perfumes available at Sayhar

Vanille Divinity: by Olivier Cresp, a gourmand, powdery vanilla brightened with mandarin and cardamom over a heart of Indian jasmine.

Le Jasmin: jasmine as seen by Olivier Cresp, the Grasse-born master perfumer who grew up among fields of flowers.

Le Oud: by Benjamin Bélizon, oud wood set against the brightness of saffron and the bite of pink pepper, on a base of ambergris.

Azur: by Benjamin Bélizon, bergamot and grapefruit lifted with lavender and rosemary.

Le Musc: by Hamid Merati-Kashani, white flowers and a white musk with praline accents, soft and intimate.

Le Néroli: by Alexandra Monet, petitgrain, mandarin and Sicilian bergamot, a heart of neroli and orange blossom, over musk and cedarwood.

La Rose des Roses: the modern, sensual rose of Ilias Ermenidis, who wanted to pour the joie de vivre of his Greek heritage into it, lifted with precious spices and incense.

Bacchus: by Alex Lee, bergamot, mandarin, lemon and orange over a deep woody structure.

Ampelos: a gourmand extrait de parfum, raspberry, orange and coconut, then chocolate, on a vanilla base.

Les Paradis Artificiels: a fruity, boozy extrait de parfum, threaded with night-blooming jasmine, on a leather base.

Which Nysos perfume should you choose?

For freshness: Azur or Le Néroli. For a floral: Le Jasmin, La Rose des Roses or Le Musc. For a gourmand: Vanille Divinity or Ampelos. For woods and spice: Le Oud or Bacchus. For fruity, after-dark intensity: Les Paradis Artificiels. All Nysos creations are unisex, and the eaux de parfum come in 80 ml.
