Vetiver in perfumery
Vetiver is the root of a grass and smells of earth, dry wood, grapefruit and smoke, depending on where it comes from and how it is distilled. Haitian vetiver is the freshest and most elegant; Javanese vetiver is smokier. It gives clean, dry, natural fragrances for everyday wear, on its own or with citrus, incense and woods.
