The Fragrance

Narcisse Taji draws inspiration from this contrasting material, both luminous and darker, with this idea of duality, almost like a balance between two opposing forces. Here, we're not talking about a classic floral, but a living, textured flower with character. The fragrance opens with a slightly green, natural, and luminous freshness that evokes a sense of open air and nature. Then, the narcissus takes center stage, with its floral, honeyed, and slightly animalic, almost leathery facets, which add a great deal of depth.Over time, the fragrance becomes structured with woody and musky notes that ground the perfume without making it rigid. The narcissus remains present but more blended, warmer, with an elegant and slightly mysterious sillage.

The brand

Atelier Materi is a French perfume house founded in 2019 by Véronique Le Bihan, who hails from Brittany. This origin is reflected in the brand's identity, influenced by raw, mineral landscapes, and an approach to perfume centered on raw materials. Each fragrance is built around a main ingredient, developed to highlight its different facets rather than diluting it in a complex structure. The compositions remain clear, with a limited number of materials organized to support this central focus. The brand's universe also draws on architectural references, with a quest for clean lines, structure, and balance. This is evident in the design of the objects, particularly in a blue tinted glass bottle and a handcrafted concrete cap, the result of artisanal work. Finally, Atelier Materi prioritizes controlled production, relying on identified partners and artisanal know-how, with manufacturing predominantly carried out in Europe.
