The Placebo house
Placebo is a Paris niche perfume house launched in 2025 by Riad, a young French-Algerian creator. His story begins in hospital: as a child, long stays introduced him to a world of contrasting smells, the harshness of antiseptics against the comforting warmth of loved ones, the leather of jackets, the trail of an eau de toilette. This sensitivity first found its voice in urban culture, graffiti, hip-hop and streetwear, before turning into fragrance. Hence the name: a placebo is not a cure, but it works on memory and emotion. Each creation is named after a place or a moment in life, between Paris and Algeria. The fragrances are extraits concentrated at 25-28%, made with 95% natural ingredients, designed in Paris and produced in small batches.
