The Room 1015 house
Room 1015 was founded in Paris in 2015 by Michael Partouche, a pharmacist by training and a musician at heart. A devotee of psychedelic rock, he moved to London, where he played with his band for five years. Back in Paris, he went looking for a language that could bring together the rigour of the scientist and the energy of the musician, and found it in perfume. The house takes its name from a hotel room: in the 1970s, the Continental Hyatt House in Los Angeles was where touring bands stayed, and legend has it that a television was thrown out of the window of room 1015. Each creation becomes a banner of freedom, fed by punk, artificial paradises, the sexual revolution or meditation. Cherry Punk was born in Vivienne Westwood's shop, Hollyrose salutes the groupies of Sunset Boulevard, and Yesterday pictures the Beatles in a hotel bathroom. The compositions are entrusted to Studio Flair, run by perfumers Amélie Bourgeois and Anne-Sophie Behaghel.

Purple Mantra: lavender and pink peppercorns, a heart of iris and clary sage, then incense, myrrh and musk.
Sonic Flower: pink pepper and carrot, a heart of iris and jasmine, then skin musks.
Sweet Leaf: grapefruit and eucalyptus, a cannabis accord, then jasmine, cashmere wood and patchouli.
Ten Fifteen: a night in a recording studio, with mandarin, saffron, violet, iris, sandalwood and papyrus.
Wasabi Klub: grapefruit, lime and yuzu, a heart of wasabi and peppers, then a woody amber base.
Wave Child: citrus, watermelon and coconut, on a base of amber woods, cocoa and ambergris.
Yesterday: bergamot, basil and thyme, a heart of lavender and rhubarb, then vetiver, musk and tonka bean.
