Saffron in perfumery
Saffron is a leathery spice, slightly metallic and honeyed, widely used in modern oriental perfumery. It warms rose, gives structure to oud and adds depth to leathers and woods. In small doses it becomes a signature; as the main note, it makes a fragrance with character that gets noticed.
