The Fragrance

Elixir d'Amour is a warm, enveloping, and deeply emotional composition, with a more intense and intimate approach than its brighter creations. From the very first spritz, one senses a rich and slightly sweet softness, with an immediately enveloping feeling that attracts and intrigues. There is something fluid yet already profound, like a warmth that settles in from the first few seconds. Then, the fragrance evolves into a creamier and more sensual heart, where the texture becomes denser and velvety, reinforcing this impression of closeness. Over time, Elixir d’Amour reveals its full depth. Warm notes take over, with a more intense, slightly amber and musky base, which gives a persistent and addictive sensation. The base is rich, enveloping, and very sensual, leaving a signature that marks the skin like a lasting imprint, both soft and captivating.

The brand

Parfums d'Elmar is a Swiss house founded by Elmar Métry, whose family coat of arms adorns the logo on each bottle. His initial ambition was to create a house where luxury would not be a marketing promise but a tangible reality: the rarest ingredients, the highest concentration, and the most meticulously crafted object possible. The brand's unique technical feature is its 35% concentration of perfumed essences, which it calls Quintessence de Parfum. Where a classic perfume extract ranges between 20 and 30%, Parfums d'Elmar takes this logic to its extreme to guarantee a deep and long-lasting presence on the skin. To create these compositions, the house partnered with Mark Buxton, born in England, trained in Hamburg, and based in Paris, where he fell in love with the city over twenty years ago. The creator of the very first Comme des Garçons fragrance in 1994, and having signed for Givenchy, Cartier, Paco Rabanne, and Le Labo, Buxton is known for his motto: "Simplicity is the ultimate degree of luxury." His style, consisting of short, concentrated formulas where every note has a reason to exist, is directly in tune with Elmar Métry's demanding standards. The bottles themselves are cut from hand-polished crystal, topped with gold-plated caps adorned with over 360 crystals.
