The fragrance

Almond Suede draws on a blend of cultures and craftsmanship, between Moorish and Spanish traditions. The fragrance conjures up the streets of Córdoba, where the sweet smells of the kitchens mingle with the scent of hand-worked leather.

Picture the softness of marzipan, with almond, sugar, saffron and orange blossom drifting through the air while artisans shape a supple, elegant leather. The perfume plays on this contrast: on one side a delicate, luminous gourmand note, on the other a deeper, more textured material.

As time goes on, the almond grows softer and cosier, almost creamy, while the leather adds structure without ever turning harsh. The whole strikes a harmony between softness and character, like the meeting of two worlds that complement each other perfectly.

The brand

Arquiste is a perfume house founded by Carlos Huber, an architect by training and a historian specialising in heritage preservation. The brand rests on a singular approach to perfume: each creation is conceived as the reconstruction of a precise moment, rooted in a place and a period. Carlos Huber develops his perfumes from historical research, archives and cultural references, which he then translates into an olfactory composition. The aim is not to freely interpret a mood, but to rebuild a scene. Each perfume therefore corresponds to a defined situation, a date, a setting, an atmosphere. A bedroom, a garden, a voyage, a frozen instant, brought back to life through raw materials. Arquiste's olfactory style remains contemporary, but always serves this narrative intention. Perfume becomes a way of travelling through time.
