Oman Luxury is a niche perfume house founded in 2012 in Muscat by three Omanis, Muatasim, Muadh, and Ahmed, united by a shared passion for fragrance and the conviction that their country had something unique to offer the world. Oman is unlike any other country in the history of perfumery. The Dhofar region, in the south of the Sultanate, is home to Boswellia sacra, the noblest and rarest frankincense tree on the planet, whose steep mountains and limestone soil are the only conditions in the world capable of making it flourish. This frankincense is burned by Omanis to welcome a guest, celebrate a birth, or simply leave their home. Perfume there is not an accessory; it is a language. It is on this foundation that Muatasim, Muadh, and Ahmed sought to build their house. Rather than adhering to the codes of traditional oriental perfumery, they chose to work with the greatest international perfumers to translate this heritage into contemporary compositions: Dominique Ropion, Maurice Roucel, and Jean-Louis Sieuzac, among others. These rare collaborations give Oman Luxury an unusual depth for an independent house of this size. It is a perfumery that does not seek to imitate the East to seduce the West but speaks from within it, with all the precision and ambition of contemporary luxury.
