Honey in perfumery
Honey is a soft, dense note, slightly waxy and sometimes animalic, that warms everything it touches. It rounds out florals, rose and orange blossom in particular, sweetens tobacco and woods, and gives amber compositions a golden warmth. A sensual skin note, and one that comes into its own in the evening.
