Golden Ice

by Mohammad Tammam Mando

Lychee opens sweet and fresh, pricked straight away by green, bitter rhubarb. Bergamot sparkles brightly while nutmeg adds warmth. It is a lively, fruity opening. Turkish rose dominates the heart, wrapped in soft, delicate peony. Musk, petalia and vanilla build a creamy accord. Cashmeran brings a silky softness. Vetiver, cedarwood and incense finish on a woody, aromatic note. A fresh, modern rose, comfortable but with character.

The fragrance

As soon as it opens, lychee bursts out sweet and exotic. Rhubarb comes straight in, green and bitter, creating a striking contrast. Bergamot adds a citrus sparkle, while nutmeg warms it subtly. You are transported, woken up but not assaulted.
At the heart, Turkish rose blooms in full, magnificent. Peony matches its softness without overloading it. Musk begins its sensual work. Petalia adds a light green floral touch. Vanilla gradually turns the whole creamy. Everything balances between freshness and comfort.
Cashmeran arrives like a caress. Haitian vetiver asserts itself, dry and herbaceous. Cedarwood gives structure. Incense brings a mysterious aromatic dimension. The fragrance becomes rich, woody, timeless. It is a sophisticated composition.

The brand

Attar Al Has is a perfume house founded in Istanbul in 2021 by Ersin Bas and Sinan Karakas. Its name refers to the tradition of the ‘attar’, the artisan perfumer who extracts, distils and blends raw materials using age-old techniques. The house follows this heritage without trying to reproduce it identically. It develops a contemporary style drawing on references from oriental perfumery. Its positioning rests on a meeting point between different olfactory cultures. Heir to a territory historically situated between East and West, Attar Al Has builds its fragrances by pairing emblematic raw materials such as oud, amber, saffron or spices with more modern structures. The compositions are developed with perfumers from varied backgrounds, from both European and Middle Eastern perfumery, so as to cross approaches rather than set them against each other. This principle also carries through to the bottle design, inspired by Ottoman decorative codes. Conceived as crafted objects, the bottles extend the attention paid to materials and craftsmanship. Attar Al Has thus develops a perfumery built on historical references, while placing them in a contemporary setting.
