Profumum Roma was founded in Rome in 1996 by four siblings, Giuseppe, Luciano, Maria and Felice Durante. Their family story goes back to a village in Molise, which their grandfather Celestino left to settle in the capital, where the family eventually became one of the city's best-known perfumers. When the market swung towards standardisation, the Durantes refused to follow and founded their own house.
