Ouragan

by Chris Maurice

An aromatic, woody wave at full force, like a hot wind sweeping everything in its path. Ouragan by Phenom tells of a raw, uncontrollable energy, a gradual build-up where the elements meet and collide.

The fragrance

Ouragan is about movement, tension and release, like a storm gathering and breaking.

From the opening, the fragrance surges forward with a bright, aromatic freshness. Citrus and herbal notes create an invigorating, punchy feel, almost sharp, like the first gusts of a powerful wind. The effect is immediate: dynamic, energising, almost electric.

The fragrance then gains intensity and structure. Spicy and woody notes reinforce the whole, adding depth and warmth, as if the storm were building. The balance between freshness and warmth creates a real tension.

Over time, Ouragan settles into a darker, more grounded base where woods and musks take over. It becomes steadier but keeps that vibration, that sense of constant movement, with an assertive presence

The brand

Phenom is a perfume house founded in 2024, born of a singular obsession: the smell of natural phenomena. Where others marvelled at the power of a storm, its founder remembered its smell, that electrifying mix of charged air and damp earth. He did not want those moments to evaporate. The idea for Phenom grew from there: to capture in a bottle the essence of the storms, tides, dawns and fires that mark our lives. Each perfume in the collection turns a natural phenomenon into an emotion you can smell. To compose these sensory pictures, Phenom brought in two perfumers with complementary backgrounds. Chris Maurice, from one of the most prestigious families in Spanish perfumery, signs five of the six creations. Nathalie Feisthauer, who went on to work for Hermès and Cartier before founding her own studio in Montmartre, composed the last in the range. A house built on the conviction that perfume can be the most faithful memory of a moment lived.
