Secret love

by Amandine Clerc-Marie

An intimate softness, between luminous fruit and quiet sensuality. Secret love conveys a discreet, almost imagined love, soft and intimate rather than showy. The fragrance suggests a moment held in suspension, like a feeling you keep to yourself, somewhere between lightness and sensuality.

The fragrance

Secret love opens on a very natural fruity freshness, with blackberry and kiwi bringing a juicy, slightly tart, lively touch. The fragrance then turns more floral, with a soft, airy bouquet that feels elegant, almost dreamy.

Over time, it wraps the skin more closely, as woods and musks add a gentle warmth and a quiet sensuality. It stays subtle, like something you sense rather than clearly smell.

This is a delicate, emotional fragrance that plays on softness, closeness and a kind of modern romance.

The brand

Majouri is a French perfume house founded in Paris in 2017 by Hadi Masmoum, who was born in Damascus, one of the world’s oldest capitals, into a family of perfume merchants. This dual heritage, the East of his childhood and the France of his upbringing, shapes everything the house does. The name says it all. “Maa,” meaning water in Arabic, and “Jouri,” the Damask rose: two words, two worlds, one house. It was in Grasse that Hadi Masmoum studied perfumery, falling in love with a Mediterranean light shared by both sides of his life, the light that nourishes both the Grasse rose and the Damask rose of his origins. This shared light has become the guiding thread of all his compositions. The fragrances are developed in Grasse in collaboration with renowned perfumers, to whom Hadi Masmoum grants genuine creative freedom, while inviting them to filter their work through his own olfactory sensibility. The bottle, designed by Pochet du Courval, a brand founded in Normandy in the 17th century and a benchmark of luxury, reflects this same dialogue: textured glass adorned with oriental arabesques, a gilded cap evoking a rising or setting sun, somewhere between the two shores. Refillable from the very beginning, long before sustainability became a trend, it is designed to last as long as the memory it carries.
