Carbonara opens on a salty, lightly spiced impression with an almost fatty effect that immediately recalls something culinary. Then the fragrance turns creamier, with a round, comforting texture, like a warm sauce, but handled in an abstract way.

Over time the whole becomes softer and more melting, with woody and musky notes that smooth out the composition and make it more wearable. The salty side remains but is better integrated, with a feel on the skin quite unlike anything else.

This is a conceptual, original and daring perfume that plays on a savoury gourmand effect very rarely found in perfumery.

Lorenzo Pazzaglia comes from the kitchen. Trained as a chef, he learnt where others would never have looked: the harmony of contrasts, the balance of textures, the way a single ingredient can upset an equilibrium. His first laboratory was the kitchen, where he developed a sense of subtle balance. That intuitive approach carried naturally into the world of perfume. Proof that a nose who comes from the table can tell as many stories as one who comes from tradition.
