Liquide gold

by Nisrine Bouazzaoui Grillié - Quentin Bisch

A sunny, precious fragrance, like molten gold on the skin. Liquide is a perfume built like a precious material, inspired by gold and its symbolism. The idea is one of transformation, as if a warm, luminous energy were slowly spreading across the skin.

The fragrance

Liquide suggests something sunny, almost metallic at first, then softer and more comforting.

It opens on a bright, spicy feel, with a contrast between freshness and warmth. Very quickly the fragrance becomes more floral and radiant, with an almost 'golden' impression, like a warm light that wraps around everything. Over time it settles onto something softer and more sensual, with vanilla and musks giving a creamy, elegant texture.

The result is a perfume that is luminous, warm and sophisticated all at once, with a real sense of precious material and light on the skin.

The brand

Liquides Imaginaires is a French artistic perfume house founded in 2012 by Philippe Di Méo, a designer, and David Frossard, Artistic Director. In Antiquity, perfume was addressed to the gods before it was addressed to people. It is this original dimension, sacred and transformative, that Philippe Di Méo seeks to restore. Each collection bears a name that refers to the invisible world. Les Eaux Delà, because perfume has always been what crosses over, what passes to the other side. Les Eaux de Peau, because before language, human beings communicated through scent, through skin, through the animal they still were. Les Eaux Sanguines, because wine and blood share the same colour and the same sacred intoxication. Les Eaux de l'Est, because the incense and spice routes shaped perfumery long before Grasse. And Les Eaux Imaginaires call on the great maps of desire, from the Carte de Tendre to the geographies invented by literature. Three perfumes per collection, always. For Philippe Di Méo, the number three is perfect balance: body, soul, mind. Past, present, future. Each bottle, designed like an ancient vessel with gold or silver stoppers, is a ritual object in itself. He describes his creations as talismans in the literal sense: objects charged with power, able to open something in the person who wears them.
