Kryptonite

by Stéphanie de Brugin

A dark, mineral freshness, between metallic cold and warm wood. Kryptonite is a dark, modern perfume, built around an almost mineral, woody sensation. It starts out cold, almost metallic, like a raw material cut from rock.

The fragrance

Kryptonite opens on a dry, almost icy freshness, with a mineral, lightly spiced impression that gives it real presence from the start. Then the fragrance grows denser, with woods and dark notes adding depth and an almost ‘warm stone’ texture.

Over time, the whole warms slightly but keeps its dry, structured character. Musks smooth the fragrance while holding on to that modern, slightly mysterious feel.

This is a contemporary, rather unusual fragrance that plays on the contrasts between cold and warm, mineral and woody.

How to wear Kryptonite
Its strong sillage makes it a fragrance for the evening, a smart night out or a special occasion. One or two sprays are enough.

The Kryptonite range
Kryptonite has given rise to a whole family: Kryptonite Absolu, Krypto Night and Krypto Night Absolu. To find yours, come and smell them side by side in our boutique or try the Scent Matchmaker.

The brand

Khalil T. is a Parisian perfume house born in 2022 from an unusual path. Khalil, who is self-taught, first built his credibility as a genuine fragrance connoisseur and never hesitated to recommend perfumes on his Snapchat account: he selected, recommended and championed the launches of the boldest creations in niche perfumery, building a community of enthusiasts around him before he had created anything at all. When he moved on to composing, he did so with perfumers Stéphanie de Bruijn and Julie Massé, two noses respected across the industry. The collection is built around a unisex, intense and resolutely modern signature, somewhere between the contemporary Arab world and European sophistication. Kryptonite, the house's first perfume, immediately set out a bolder vision of niche perfumery: luminous aldehydes, tonka bean, iris absolute, jasmine sambac and a base of white sandalwood and almond. A powdery, creamy fragrance that wraps around the skin with a magnetic presence. Kryptonite Absolu takes the formula further still, towards toffee caramel, praline and a more opulent sandalwood. Krypto Night heads in another direction, fresher and more sparkling with pear, ginger, white flowers and ambergris, like the nocturnal, electric version of the same DNA. Santal Cashmere explores a milky aquatic woody, with a surprising red seaweed opening that gives way to a very soft heart of iris and sandalwood. What sets Khalil T. apart is this knack for creating instantly recognisable fragrances, carried by a community that has adopted them as a signature.
