The Première Peau house
Première Peau is a French house born in Paris around Pierre Mergui. Its story starts with raw materials, not a brand image: formulas that take a long time to stabilise, bottles designed as objects and perfumers left free to follow their own hand. After three years of development, the first collection came out in 2025. It includes seven extraits composed by Claire Liégent, Grégoire Balleydier, Ugo Charron and Florian Gallo. Each creation seeks less to charm straight away than to impose a signature: chalky iris, dense saffron, nocturnal jasmine, salty leather, truffle, ink or asphalt. The house rejects decorative perfume and fully owns a style of perfumery that can be unsettling. Wearing Première Peau means slipping on an invisible, intimate layer, almost part of who you are: a first skin, quite literally.

Albatre Sepia: mineral white truffle and metallic ink, over dry vanilla and powdery violet.
Doppel Däncers: a graphic, mineral iris, set on velvety black sesame and sunlit immortelle.

Insuline Safrine: a dense, medicinal saffron, resinous vanilla and narcotic orange blossom.

Doppel Däncers, the house’s best seller, is the ideal way in: a soft, mineral iris that sits close to the skin. Flower lovers should head for Rose Monotone or the sharper Gravitas Capitale. Insuline Safrine and Simili Mirage offer more warmth, with saffron, vanilla and leather. For the boldest, Albatre Sepia and Nuit Elastique explore unexpected territory, from truffle to black olive. The whole collection is unisex, in 45 or 90 ml bottles.
