Fuego Futuro

Timut pepper and maté hit you first, spicy and green. Elemi crackles, herbal. At the heart, smoky sage, hay and incense create a dry, meditative mood. Sandalwood, Alaskan cedar and ash in the base. A fragrance that smells like a campfire dying down.

The fragrance

From the first sprays, Timut pepper crackles with a tingling feel all its own. Maté brings a dark greenness. Elemi resin adds freshness, like crushed leaves and damp earth in cool air. It is vibrant, natural, nothing ordinary. Not sweet, not smooth.
Gradually, smoky sage comes through at the heart, herbal and meditative. Hay brings an earthy dryness, that end-of-summer feeling. Incense rises, adding a spiritual depth. You do not get an overwhelming wall of smoke, it is more like sitting near a fire rather than in it. Balanced, contemplative.
In the base, dark sandalwood holds you without shouting. It is a warm embrace. Alaskan cedar adds woody structure. That moment when the last embers settle: the fire goes out completely. Pure white ash. Your sillage stays discreet, personal.

The brand

Thomas de Monaco is an independent perfume house founded in 2020 in Zurich by its eponymous creator, a Franco-Swiss artistic director and photographer. For more than twenty years, Thomas de Monaco shaped the visual language of the world’s leading luxury houses, Dior, Hermès, YSL, Armani, Cartier, and Rolex, while working in Paris, New York, and Zurich. It was his discovery of the Helmut Lang collection that marked a true turning point: a contemporary line, imbued with a subtle retro spirit, that continues to influence his work today. Perfume thus became another medium, the only one where the final image is not delivered by the creator but is constructed entirely in the wearer’s imagination. Based in the heart of a former Gustave Eiffel factory in Zurich, the house crafts its fragrances using artisanal methods, free from industrial constraints. Each fragrance is developed in close collaboration with perfumer Maurus Bachmann, under the creative direction of Thomas de Monaco. This is the essence of the house.” A designer house built on the conviction that fragrance is not simply worn, it complements the wearer.
