The fragrance

Alone In Babylon is the 2026 new release in Stéphane Humbert Lucas's 777 collection, a floral oriental fragrance inspired by the myth of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, where flowers bloom where you least expect them. The house presents it as an anti-gourmand gourmand, born of an imaginary meeting between Dorian Gray and Scheherazade: a creation that plays with sweetness without ever letting itself be trapped by it.

The opening pairs a heady tuberose with the creamy roundness of plantain. Nail varnish and petrol accords unsettle this sweetness and give it a lacquered, almost cosmetic sheen that makes it so singular. The heart then tips towards castoreum, floralozone and Mysore sandalwood, deeper and more carnal.

In the base, vanilla and tonka bean warm the composition, while leather and musk anchor a sensual, intense and tenacious sillage. Sweet without being syrupy, Alone In Babylon lasts a long time on the skin and is as at home on a woman as on a man.

With its bold contrasts between white flower, creamy fruit and leathery facets, Alone In Babylon will appeal to lovers of tuberose and floral fragrances as well as gourmand fans who like to stray off the beaten track. If you like the house's daring fruits, try God Of Fire and Soleil de Jeddah Mango Kiss too, or the softer tuberose of Lady White Snake.
