How the Khalil T. perfume collection is built

I launched Khalil T. in 2022 with a simple idea: fragrances I would want to wear myself, composed with two perfumers, Stéphanie de Bruijn and Julie Massé. Six are available today, in three groups.

Two lines and their Absolus

Kryptonite is the house's first fragrance: a dark, almost mineral freshness over a base of white sandalwood and almond. Kryptonite Absolu takes that signature and makes it creamy, with toffee caramel and praline almonds. Krypto Night goes in another, brighter direction: pear, ginger, orange blossom, ambergris. Krypto Night Absolu, the newest arrival, pushes that base towards hazelnut cream. In both cases, the Absolu is the denser, warmer version, designed for the evening.

Two easy-to-wear perfumes

Kiss and Santal Cashmere are the everyday Khalil T. scents. Kiss is a light sweet scent, fruit and marshmallow over sandalwood. Santal Cashmere is a creamy sandalwood that opens on an aquatic note of red seaweed. These are the ones I recommend to anyone discovering the house.

Three sizes, three prices

The 100 ml bottles are €215. The two Absolus come in 50 ml at €150. The 9 ml sizes are €45: they are the way into the house, and a good way to wear a fragrance for two weeks before choosing. As I write, the 9 ml of Krypto Night and the 100 ml of Kiss and Santal Cashmere are out of stock.

The highlight: the contrast. A cold, almost metallic opening that warms up on sandalwood and almond without turning sweet.

My take: the one I hand people when they ask me 'so what is the Khalil T. signature?'. Cold in the first minute, warm after an hour. If you find the Absolu too gourmand, this is the one.

3. Krypto Night by Khalil T.: the fresh scent that turns into an evening perfume

Family: fresh, woody, floral. Sillage: strong.
The highlight: a bright, almost joyful opening that slides into a warm amber base. It is not the same scent at 7pm and at midnight.

My take: alongside Kryptonite Absolu, the Khalil T. our customers ask for most. If you like fresh fragrances but want one that stays present late into the evening, this is it.

4. Krypto Night Absolu by Khalil T.: the dense version, with hazelnut and ambergris

My take: the newest arrival in the collection. It keeps the opening of Krypto Night and finishes rounder and more gourmand. If you are torn between Krypto Night and Kryptonite Absolu, it sits right between the two.

My take: the 9 ml I hand out most often to anyone who wants a woody scent for work. The easiest Khalil T. to wear, the one that bothers no one in an open-plan office.

How to choose between the six

Sweet or not sweet? My first question at the counter. Unapologetically sweet: Kryptonite Absolu. Lightly sweet: Kiss. No sweetness: Kryptonite or Santal Cashmere. Somewhere in between: Krypto Night, then its Absolu.
Day or evening? Santal Cashmere and Kiss for daytime. Kryptonite for both. Krypto Night and the two Absolus for the evening.
Your budget. At €45, the 9 ml of Kiss or Santal Cashmere. At €150, an Absolu in 50 ml. At €215, a 100 ml of Kryptonite or Krypto Night.
Layer them. Kryptonite and Kryptonite Absolu are made for it: the first in the morning, the second in the evening, or both together for a date.
Two sprays. Four of the six are rated strong on our product pages. Neck and wrists, then let the base come through.

Try before you buy

The best way to choose between these six is to wear them. At the Sayhar boutique, 27 rue de Marignan, Paris 8th (Champs-Élysées, open Tuesday to Saturday from 11am to 8pm and Sunday from 12pm to 8pm), the whole Khalil T. collection is on the counter: you try two on skin, one on each wrist, before deciding. The 9 ml sizes at €45 let you live with a fragrance for a few weeks before committing to the full bottle. There isn't a "best" one, there's just the right one for your needs. The most popular is Kryptonite Absolu, the caramel-sandalwood scent. For a fresh scent that lasts into the evening, try Krypto Night. For everyday wear, including at the office, try Santal Cashmere. Start with the one that's most similar to what you already wear.
