The Fragrance

Santal Blond is inspired by an almost “golden” sandalwood, warm but never heavy, with the idea of a natural material highlighted without excess. Here, we have a lively, balanced wood, neither too creamy nor too dry. The fragrance opens with a slightly spicy sweetness that provides immediate depth. Then the sandalwood takes center stage, with a facet that is at once soft, dry, and slightly creamy, very well balanced, giving a true sensation of material. Afterward, the fragrance becomes enveloping, with woods and musks that provide warmth and longevity. We retain this sensation of luminous wood, almost like “warm skin,” with something very natural and elegant.

The brand

Atelier Materi is a French perfume house founded in 2019 by Véronique Le Bihan, who hails from Brittany. This origin is reflected in the brand's identity, influenced by raw, mineral landscapes, and an approach to perfume centered on raw materials. Each fragrance is built around a main ingredient, developed to highlight its different facets rather than diluting it in a complex structure. The compositions remain clear, with a limited number of materials organized to support this central focus. The brand's universe also draws on architectural references, with a quest for clean lines, structure, and balance. This is evident in the design of the objects, particularly in a blue tinted glass bottle and a handcrafted concrete cap, the result of artisanal work. Finally, Atelier Materi prioritizes controlled production, relying on identified partners and artisanal know-how, with manufacturing predominantly carried out in Europe.
